PM Modi to visit Maha Kumbh Mela on February 5

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj on Wednesday, February 5, 2025. At approximately 11 a.m., he will take a holy dip at the Sangam, his office announced. The Maha Kumbh 2025, which began on Paush Purnima (January 13, 2025), is the world’s largest spiritual and cultural gathering, drawing devotees from all over the world. The event will continue until Mahashivratri on February 26, according to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office.

The statement further mentioned that Prime Minister Modi’s visit to the Maha Kumbh Mela is part of his commitment to promote and preserve India’s spiritual and cultural heritage. He has consistently worked to enhance infrastructure and facilities at pilgrimage sites. During a visit to Prayagraj on December 13, 2024, the Prime Minister inaugurated 167 development projects valued at ₹5,500 crore, aimed at improving connectivity, amenities, and services for the public.
