Sultan Haitham bin Tarik of Oman arrived in India for a three-day visit. He received a ceremonial reception at the forecourt of Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi on Saturday
Tarik embarked on a three-day state visit to India on Friday, where he was welcomed by Union Minister of State for External Affairs, V Muraleedharan. The Sultan’s visit to India was extended at the invitation of President Droupadi Murmu.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Murmu welcomed the Sultan at Rashtrapati Bhawan on Saturday. Subsequently, the Sultan reviewed a Guard of Honour presented by the combined defense services
Subsequently, Modi and the Sultan proceeded to Hyderabad House in Delhi for bilateral talks. The prime minister is set to host a luncheon in honor of Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik.
Earlier, Arindam Bagchi, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of External Affairs, expressed that the Sultan of Oman’s visit will enhance the friendship and cooperation between the two nations

The Ministry of External Affairs emphasized that the Sultan of Oman’s first State visit represents a noteworthy milestone in the diplomatic ties between New Delhi and Muscat.
